FAIXA is a musical project that presents a spectacular fusion between electronic and traditional music. With their first LP called FAIXA (ECCO Records 2024), they have condensed what it means to satisfy curiosity for electronic music while living immersed in a tradition that resonates day after day in the squares and festivals of the Valencian regions of L’Alcoià and El Comtat.
The sound of the album is a constant dialogue between the present of the roots and the future of the Valencian generations; the singers play an essential role because they connect oral traditions such as the “threshing song” and the Moors and Christians marches with avant-garde electronics, influenced by sounds typical of dubstep, jungle or footwork. An album where Noelia Llorens “Titana”, Carles Dénia and Josep Aparicio “Apa” act as conductors towards a new sound dimension of traditional singing, where what is classic and what is modern are intertwined.
