Röyksopp are the influential Norwegian electronic duo formed by Svein Berge and Torbjørn Brundtland, widely regarded as one of the most enduring and distinctive acts to emerge from the early-2000s electronic music boom.

After growing up together in Tromsø and experimenting with electronic music throughout the 1990s, Röyksopp broke through internationally in 2001 with their debut album Melody A.M.. While stepping away from conventional releases, the duo continued to create music through singles, collaborations, special projects and the Lost Tapes series, which unearthed previously unreleased material from their archives.

Their return to the album format came in 2022 with Profound Mysteries, an ambitious trilogy released across the year that combined music, visuals and concept into a bold, collaborative artistic statement. The project reaffirmed Röyksopp’s ability to evolve while staying true to their core identity.
